When most people think of Mayhem, they think of something negative. And it's true! Mayhem is not anything to smile or write home about. When you sit back and think about the conditions spreading throughout the world today - financial crisis, natural disasters, disease, crime, terrorism, war and so on, Mayhem is a pretty good term to sum it all up. I live in the " Chocolate City " - Washington , DC . I've seen my share of "Black-on-Black" crime. HIV is climbing trees like a monkey around here. Again, Mayhem sums it up. But when you look up Avenue in the dictionary, you might find a meaning like "a way of access" or "a channel for pursuing a desired path." Moreover the philosophy of Mayhem AVE is to inspire everyone who is touched by turmoil and life's challenges, to take the right way of access in reaching higher heights and finding a better place for yourself on Life's often rocky and dangerous streets. Take the AVE, there is always a way of escape.-GOD BLESS
Mayhem A.V.E. would like to send prayers and condolences out to the Hylton family. Moriba "SALIM Hylton was gunned down August 29, 2009 in N.W., DC the same neighborhood where he grew up. He passed on Sunday August 30, 2009. Salim was a close friend to the Mayhem family, they attended Duke Ellington and Virginia Commonwealth University together. We as young people need to get our mind right and look at the impact we making for the younger generation.
