About Us
Mayhem A.V.E. was founded in 2000 by high school friends Kwasi Abdullah, and Aaron Jackson "AJAX". The AVE stands for Apparel Virtually 4 Everyone, which means anyone can wear it no matter what ethnicity, size or if you are a bamma (non-stylish). Mayhem is the avenue to obtain clothing for all. At Duke Ellington School of the Arts, the duo started off by hand painting t-shirts, jeans, skirts, hoodies and other garments that were provided by the customers. In 2002 they participated in the school’s annual fashion show where their scene was inspired by Washington DC's metro-rail. That inspiration is still the base idea of the clothing line, but that is just one of the many ideas the company has used to incorporate within their designs. After graduating from Duke Ellington School of the Arts in 2003, the CEO's attended Virginia Commonwealth University. At VCU both were accepted into the fashion design program, where alumni Don Juan (former owner of Akadimiks) attended. Ajax graduated in 2008 from the program, while Kwasi was accepted into an internship program at ECKO in New York City.
2009 has come and Mayhem AVE is now going through a transition to grow and excel to provide the best quality urban wear clothing line on the East Coast. A former Duke Ellington school mate, Ibnijah Rivers, has moved to the A.V.E. bringing his unique creativity and artistic abilities. We currently specialize urban wear but we will soon have casual, swim wear, custom wear And Virtually Every-wear available.

LIP GLOSS
Lip Gloss was founded by both Aaron Jackson, Kwasi Abdullah while still in high school in 2001. This is an extension of Mayhem AVE, which is the women’s clothing line. A Luxurious Irresistible Product that makes a woman Gloss. This line of clothing was created for the women's junior market.
